OpenCFD® Limited, located in the UK, develops OpenFOAM® a free, open source CFD software package which it distributes through the www.OpenFOAM.com. OpenCFD provides full commercial support, including software support, contracted developments and training courses. OpenCFD Limited was established in 2004 when we released OpenFOAM software under the General Public Licence (GPL). In 2012, OpenCFD became part of the ESI Group following acquisition from SGI, who acquired OpenCFD in 2011.
