The Youth Sustainability Board is a one-stop shop for sustainability-minded youth in Colorado. Our main objective is to educate, engage, and empower high school students to get involved in sustainability. We offer a variety of opportunities for students to get involved in their community and push themselves to take on leadership roles. We support student-run initiatives such as recycling, composting, and food waste thereby transforming the image of the schools in Denver to one showcasing a strong image of progressive, forward-thinking sustainability and providing youth education on current issues in Colorado. We want students to feel empowered to initiate environmental sustainability projects at their school and within their community. By educating them on current sustainability and environmental issues in the community and world both with guest speakers, internships, and volunteer opportunities within the community, students will be more adapted to combat issues and feel better prepared to create positive sustainable change within their own communities.
