Napa Pain Institute
www.napapaininstitute.comOur mission is to inspire hope and contribute to health and well-being, through integrated clinical practice, research, and education — a mission we've been following for 25 years. Napa Pain Institute (NPI) provides patients in the north Bay Area, California, with advanced, evidence-based clinical care. Our practice is deeply involved in clinical research and professional education, and is on the forefront of the development of new therapies and technologies for the treatment of chronic illness. The clinicians at Napa Pain Institute and our sister practices the Redwood Pain Institute and the Spine & Pain Center of Kauai, enjoy national prominence and international recognition for compassionate care and clinical excellence, and for supporting the advancement of new treatments and technologies through research and education. OUR HISTORY Napa Pain Institute was founded in 1992, before pain was recognized as a serious medical problem. Patients with pain were often ignored or undertreated, and after serving on the faculty at the Mayo Clinic and founding the Pain Center at the University of California at Davis Medical Center, Dr. Eric Grigsby formed a pain clinic in the Napa Valley to serve the unmet needs of these patients. This early clinic has grown into the Napa Pain Institute, now one of the premier Pain Management centers in the United States.
