Apollo Hospital Educational Research Foundation (AHERF) is a not-for-profit foundation recognized by the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR) as a Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (SIRO) and is focused on basic, translational and epidemiological research. AHERF has a Class 10,000 wet lab Cell and Molecular Biology Research Centre (CMBRC) to carry out the research activities. The CMBRC enables research projects in cutting edge areas such as liquid biopsy, molecular diagnostics, pharmacogenetics and exosomes. The current research work includes validation of the newer biomarkers for various cancers, pathological conditions, glioblastoma, etc.The research projects at AHERF have focused on a positive impact to provide affordable healthcare to the community, especially to the underprivileged who are afflicted with Non Communicable Diseases which is emerging as a threat to the nation.
