Nutrition Professionals Australia is a national team of Accredited Practising Dietitians providing quality nutrition advice and resources to the aged care sector and food industry. NPA is led by Anne Schneyder and Julie Dundon both Advanced Accredited Practising Dietitians, who have a wealth of experience in providing nutrition and dietetic advice to care homes to enable them to meet Accreditation and Best Practice requirements. Julie has also had experience as an Aged Care manager and understands the daily challenges managers face. Julie and Anne provide a Specialist Aged Care Nutrition Advisory Service Our experience includes working with the aged care home team to: • resolve any unmet standards relating to nutrition and hydration • address nutrition and hydration in a sanctioned aged care home • reduce unexpected weight loss in residents • resolve and minimise the incidence of wounds • reduce and limit the use of commercial nutrition supplements • reduce resident complaints about the menu provided NPA are well known for their 2 day Improving Nutrition seminars which are conducted in each state of Australia every year. The online training modules are more and more popular, allowing users to access information more readily than ever before.
