Founded in 1980, Weller Architects P.C. has grown from its initial conception as an architectural firm specializing in the unique and culturally sensitive design issues related to indigenous peoples to a design firm offering broad-based architectural services gaining regional and national prominence and recognition. Specializing in ever-changing, complex building types, our projects benefit from the technical expertise developed through years of application and collaborative processes focused on client-oriented results. With our commitment to sensitive and technically challenging design solutions, we offer architectural and project management services including feasibility studies, site development planning, programming, masterplanning, architectural and interior design, construction document preparation, bid and award administration, and construction administration; we provide coordination with the client, client managers, user groups and regulatory agencies, paramount to a successful project. During our years of practice, our experience has grown to include a multitude of project types with varying degrees of complexity, including work in 17 states. Our focus has been primarily on Native American lands, either for the tribes directly or working in conjunction with the Indian Health Service, Bureau of Indian Affairs, or other government entities. Weller Architects’ Native American work can be found on over 35 reservations, comprised of health care facilities, visitor centers, community centers, educational, institutional, and housing projects.
