Electric Muse
www.electricmuse.comIn 1998, music-multimedia technologist, performer and show designer Shueh-li Ong and music-software technologist-performer Michael Spicer came together to build and market music technology for music applications. Led by Director, Shueh-li Ong, Electric Muse was born out of a growing need in Singapore for music+technology showcases. Their initial business goal was to build and market music technology for edutainment applications, but this business grew to include music+tech show presentation, and education. Their forte was to extend the musical norm in live performance. Clients included government entities, major corporations and theatrical groups such as the Infoccomm Development Authority of Singapore, National Science and Technology Board, CitiBank Singapore, The Event Co., CyberArts Studio at the National University of Singapore, ABC Australia, and Theatreworks, to name a few. Electric Muse has also presented at conferences, tertiary institutions and symposiums. Shueh-li Ong brought Electric Muse to the U.S.A. in 2005, to work on various collaborative projects as well as to focus on refining research and composition for the theremin and extended synth techniques along with studio production work. More about her work can be found on back on her LI page. Electric Muse's activities have since taken a back seat to Ong's pursuits.
