Founded in 1972, Sunpet specialises in manufacturing optical products. In 1994, Sunpet was the first to set-up an ultra-precision machining centre for aspherical plastic lens manufacturing in Hong Kong. Two further advanced ultra-precision machines and equipment for manufacturing precision optics have since been installed. In addition to precision plastic optics, Sunpet also manufactures diamond turned mirrors in complicated forms. At Sunpet, there are excellent in-house facilities to enable products to be developed and manufactured under the same roof. Its factory is accredited to ISO9001:2000 quality management system, and ISO14001:2004 environment management system to ensure high precision products to be manufactured while minimising its environmental impact. As well as its own branded products, Sunpet also develops and manufactures optical components and products on OEM and ODM basis for customers around the world from the electronics, medical, photographic, television and surveillance industries.
