startsocial ist ein bundesweiter Wettbewerb zur Förderung des ehrenamtlichen sozialen Engagements und steht seit 2001 unter der Schirmherrschaft des Bundeskanzlers/der Bundeskanzlerin. Unter dem Motto „Hilfe für Helfer“ vergibt startsocial jährlich 100 viermonatige Beratungsstipendien und 25 Auszeichnungen, darunter sieben Geldpreise, an herausragende soziale Initiativen. In jeder Wettbewerbsrunde bringen über 500 Fach- und Führungskräfte als ehrenamtliche Coaches und JurorInnen ihr Know-how ein. Der Wettbewerb wird seit 2001 veranstaltet und ist damit Pionier in der Beratung ehrenamtlich getragener sozialer Initiativen in Deutschland. Bis heute hat startsocial rund 1.800 Projekte durch ein Stipendium unterstützt. Hauptförderer sind die Unternehmen Allianz Deutschland AG, Deutsche Bank AG, SAP, ProSiebenSat.1 Media SE und McKinsey & Company. startsocial is a national competition, which aims to promote voluntary social commitment.
