Age UK Essex are a local charity providing services in approximately 220 towns and villages across the county. We are a brand partner of the national charity Age UK. We aim to promote the wellbeing of all older people in Essex and be there to support people to live fulfilling and enjoyable lives. We work hard to engage with older people and respond to their needs. Our vital support services reach out to those who need help and enable them to enjoy later life. We currently offer: - Free Information and Advice to older people and their carers. - Four free befriending services, including telephone and active befriending. - Advocacy - A Dementia Connections support programme delivered in partnership with the Alzheimer's Society. - A Home Help service to offer support with housework and shopping. - Countywide toenail cutting clinics to help keep older people mobile. - Respite for carers through our Sitting Service.
