Koza
spark.adobe.comMy name is Olga. However, my friends refer to me as Koza (goat, in Russian). Luckily, I got this nickname due to my ability to bounce off the walls the next morning after a big night out rather than beacuse of my appearance. I came to the UK to study and conquer the world like any other young hopeful does. All I knew was that I wanted to create art and get paid for it. So I chose to do a degree in Advertising with Marketing which covered various disciplines from media planning to account handling to design and art direction. With university behind me I started my assault on the world of advertising. A few struggles later I succeded. Initially, I chose to do account management. It was a practical decision rather than something that felt right. My career quickly progressed, the portfolio of my clients got bigger and the range of agencies that I worked for got more diverse. Nevertheless, this wasn't bringing me joy. A better understanding of the industry had made me question my decision of jumping into account management. Working alongside some amazing and creative people, as well as seeing the likes of Walter Campbell in action first hand, made it clear to me that I wanted to be an art director. However, this also meant that I had to start everything all over again. So I did. I got a Masters degree in Photography and started to build a portfolio by working on spec and helping out small businesses pro bono. All I need now is a place that allows me to apply my skills. Then, I can start living the dream.
