Smithwick Strata Services was founded in 1998 by Ida Smithwick, a past President of the Strata Titles Institute of Western Australia. In 2009, Henry Vurens van Es, coming from a background in the service industry in construction and business development, acquired ownership of Smithwick after a two year transition. As a result of the acquisition, the business model was modified from the traditional approach to Strata Management to a more proactive and focused business model employing experienced staff within the specialist areas of Strata Management (Maintenance / Facilities Management, Accounting, Meetings Facilitation, and Compliance). Since the change of ownership and business model, Smithwick has grown the portfolio by over 250% and the portfolio as well as the team of staff continues to grow. Managing Director, Henry Vurens van Es and his team all have extensive experience not only in the Strata Management industry but complimentary industries. This includes experience in industries such as Residential Property Management, Commercial Property Management, Building Supplies, Business Administration, Banking and Financial Services plus Finance and Accounts. This diverse background gives the team at Smithwick Strata Services not only the skills to service their clients but the ability to adapt to the ever-evolving Strata Management industry. In addition to the above Henry and the team are passionate about building long term relationships with their customers and suppliers.
