The European Institute of Planted Forest (IEFC) is a network of forest owners, practitioners, researchers, and educators who aim to coordinate and utilise, a bottom-up approach of forest owner/practitioner driven problem solving, to promote, facilitate, and improve, through research, networking, and communication, the future sustainability of Planted Forests in Europe. The IEFC facilitates transnational scientific and technical cooperation by coordinating the planning and implementation of collaborative research and development projects, and promotes sharing of experience and capacities between its members and more broadly with actors involved in the sustainable management and use of planted forests.
