Founded as a non-profit organization, Lockdown Language Exchange was formed to help people out of work due to Coronavirus earn an income from home to help weather the crisis. Our platform enables people to book sessions to practice a language via 1:1 video chat sessions with native speakers. The native speakers can list on the site and make money from hosting these practice sessions. The people practicing not only get the benefits of improving their language skills, but also fighting the effects of self-isolating, and putting money in the pockets of those who need it the most.
