AEHIA
www.aehia.orgLaunched by the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME) in late 2014, the Association for Executives in Health Information Applications, or AEHIA, has over 350 members worldwide and is comprised of senior and executive-level healthcare applications leaders. Healthcare applications are the backbone of a well-run healthcare provider. Without quick access to EHR systems, patient monitoring software, and functioning HR and business tools, providers would be unable to stay current in the rapidly changing world of healthcare IT. In some ways, healthcare applications staff are the change agents, often partnering with project management to get a new system rolled out to users who may not understand the functions of new features. AEHIA helps support those change agents because without working software at every stage of the patient and employee experience, the ability to deliver care and create positive change in the healthcare landscape is negatively affected. AEHIA provides its members resources for education, professional development, and collaboration between applications professionals and technical leadership in healthcare to provide better patent safety and build a better patient experience.
