The Demographic Research and Development Foundation, Inc. (DRDF), established in 1983, is a non-stock, non-profit organization registered with the Philippine Securities and Exchange Commission that aims to promote and undertake research, training and other related activities in population and development. More specifically, DRDF as a group of population and development specialists aims to: (1) undertake studies in the general area of population and development; (2) lend technical expertise in planning, policy formulation, project conceptualization, project implementation, human resource development in population and development; and (3) disseminate important, policy-relevant and research-based information. In pursuing its mission and vision, DRDF works closely with the University of the Philippines Population Institute (UPPI), with whom it has special working relationship and arrangements. DRDF is temporarily housed in the UPPI premises. They share library resources (e.g. books, journals, electronic references), facilities and human resources, creating a synergistic environment for the improvement of the quality of demographic studies and research outputs.
