Born and raised in Mexico, Alexia María Esquer is the designer and creative director of Alexia María. Since her childhood, fashion and designing have always been a passion and interest of hers. Growing up, her sense of style drew inspiration from the 1950’s and now it has transpired to be the same source of inspiration for her designs. After living and studying in New York, at the age of twenty-­five, she launched her eponymous collection in the spring of 2014.
