Amanda “Jo” Erven is the President of Audit. Consulting. Education. LLC. She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), and a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE). Jo has both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Accounting from the University of Georgia. She started her career in Public Accounting at one of the Big Four firms, experienced a traditional accounting role at a multinational corporation, and ended her “Corporate” career Directing an Internal Audit function at a large international Financial Services Company in Denver, CO. She is also an Affiliate Professor having taught Principles of Accounting, Intermediate Accounting, Intro to Business, and Internal Audit. Jo’s experience includes advising clients on a multitude of strategic initiatives, while providing ongoing recommendations for process and control improvements. She has designed SOX and other compliance programs, implemented audit management software suites, and has performed and managed financial, operational and compliance audits and/or control testing for a multitude of business lines, including oil & gas, insurance, retirement, investments, healthcare, and governments. She has also performed process and control work on national subsidiaries and entities globally. She has extensive risk assessment experience and focuses her efforts on what is critical for organizational success.
