Student Radio 98.9 is a non-profit association and all of our employees work on a volunteer basis, except the station manager who is remunerated for his full time job. In other words, student radio is driven by a genuine passion of all employees, both broadcasters and board members. Student radio is funded by Uppsala University, Folkuniversitetet, advertising revenue and other contributors such as Student Radio in Sweden.
