ADC Microfinance

www.adc.org.nz

ADC is a NZ-based charity that provides funding and technical support to locally owned and operated microfinance projects in Myanmar & Malawi. Our core purpose is to reduce poverty through microfinance. What we do Most of us take access to credit for granted. Yet it is not accessible to everyone. Many people in poor communities are industrious, resourceful and entrepreneurial. To rise above their situation, they need access to capital and a bit of support. We provide both. ADC’s microfinance initiatives empower people to break the cycle of poverty through business development. Who we are ADC is driven by a dynamic group of dedicated and passionate young professionals who have skills including economics, accounting, law, medicine and engineering. The majority of them are volunteers, and all have a collective desire to empower people through microfinance. Our members ADC members contribute regularly to a common fund which is then used to support locally-managed projects in partner communities overseas. Members are involved beyond simply making donations, and are encouraged to engage actively in decision-making that guides the Operations and Executive Committee. Our goal We are aiming to grow the microfinance bank in Myanmar to 10,000 clients and continue to work towards sustainability with our new partner project in Malawi.
