Brown Girl, Tech World is digital safe space & organization for brown women & girls navigating the tech industry. Amber Takahashi, founder and advocate for women in technology, created this space based on her personal experience in the technology field. She understands the need for more brown females in this space, and is dedicated to "closing the gap". As of 2020, our goal is to help place 5 brown women in tech jobs. Meeting this goal will help us get closer to developing strong relationships with top tech companies and startups globally, so that we can establish a pipeline. We also aim to encourage girls and young women (k-12, college students) to pursue careers in tech by providing scholarships, grants, and facilitating educational programs.
