Insure Direct Brokers W.L.L., Qatar (IDQ) is one of the leading Insurance Brokers, licensed and authorized by Qatar Central Bank in the State of Qatar. Insure Direct (Brokers) LLC (IDB) was originally established in Dubai in 2000. The insurance broking business of IDB rapidly expanded following its acquisition by Istithmar World in 2006 and added further branches in Bahrain (2008) and Qatar (2009). IDQ, was incorporated in the State of Qatar on 2nd July 2009 and started its operation from June 2010. In December 2013, Jardine Lloyd Thompson Group (JLT Group) acquired majority interest in IDB. In view of JLT’s acquisition of IDB, the operations and management of Insure Direct Brokers W.L.L.Qatar (IDQ) came within the fold of JLT Group. However, with effect from 1st May 2016, H.E. Sheikh Mohamed Bin Ahmed Bin Jassim Al-Thani, Chairman, has taken over the ownership and management of IDQ in its entirety.
