Meiklem Kiln Works Art Studio / Centerspace Welllness Studio
www.mkwcenter.comWe are dedicated to helping individuals discover what inspires them to find their center by providing creative, educational experiences that awaken the mind, body connection. Our fully equipped art and wellness studios provide a sanctuary for learning while our experienced artist instructors and wellness professionals take a heart centered approach to teaching that cultivates the flow of creative energy in an atmosphere of respect and compassion. In 2002, Lyndsay Meiklem established Meiklem Kiln Works, which began as a small Pottery Studio that offered clay classes to the public. In 2006, Meiklem Kiln Works moved to its present location in Bozrah, CT, and nearly tripled its size with the addition of an Art Studio. The Centerspace Wellness Studio, realized in 2010, now functions alongside the Art studio. The Art studio offers classes in a variety of artistic mediums including fused glass and watercolor, wheel thrown pottery etc, while the Wellness Studio offers ongoing yoga, meditation, and healing arts classes. The main goal in all of the classes is always to encourage students to first and foremost enjoy themselves while learning. Connecting with the community is also very important. To that end, the studio participates in several annual community events and community service projects. The Studio is home to over 20 wellness professionals specializing in reflexology, massage therapy, skin care, feldenkrais and more and provides a warm and comfortable spa like atmosphere for clients to relax and rejuvinate.
