Food by Francois is a Charlotte based Culinary and Hospitality Company, which provides personal chef services, meal prep, catering for conferences, weddings, and more. Food by Francois is owned and led by Chef Barry Francois. Chef Francois is a 35 year old personal chef, caterer and entrepreneur from the Bronx, NY. Chef Francois was introduced to cooking with fresh produce at an early age, which motivated him to pursue a career in the culinary industry. In 2012, Chef Francois won $12,500 in the SHAPE Charlotte to start up Queen City Mobile Market, which was Charlotte’s first mobile farmer’s market. The focus for QC Mobile Market is to supply fresh fruits, vegetables and meals to areas in Charlotte that do not have easy access to fresh and healthy options. In 2017, Chef Francois was honored by Social Status and the Jordan Brand as a “Social Status Community All-Star”, which honored Charlotteans during 2017’s NBA All-Star weekend, who have made a conscience effort to be a bright light in the Charlotte community. Since then, Chef Francois has been busy getting out his message about the importance of eating organic fresh fruits and veggies. You can always find him around Charlotte; whether it’s teaching local elementary students how to cook or feeding the less fortunate. Chef Francois has also partnered up with many businesses to help promote nutritional education. Those companies include Friendship Trades, YMCA, Enterprise Car Rental, CIS (Community in School), and YBN (Young Black Males).
