ECO2 maintains warehouses and personnel in both Los Angeles CA and Detroit MI to provide the most flexibility for our customers across North America. The SANCO2 is a split type Heat Pump Water Heater (HPWH) meaning that the Heat Pump and Hot Water storage tank are separated connected only by 2 x 1/2" water piping and a temperature sensor. Storage tanks are available in 43, 83 (both stainless steel), 119, 200 and larger glass lined tanks The first hour rating for all these tanks is higher than any other HPWH across every tank size and as the Heat Pump can produce higher water temperatures (150F) more hot water can be stored making these units suitable for higher hot water using applications The Heat Pump is a self contained 4.5kw capacity unit, designed to be installed outside the building space. The Compressor used is an Inverter type so it is able to reduce it's energy usage to the minimum required to extract the necessary heat from the ambient air, in the real world we typical record up to 40% reduction in energy use compared to other HPWH's, 400% reduction when compared to Electric Storage water heaters The Heat Pump uses CO2 (R744) as it's refrigerant, this enables the system to provide 1. Higher water temperatures 2. Greater efficiencies 3. No loss of performance down to 5F, and lower loss at ambient temperatures down to below -25F 4. CO2 refrigerant has a GWP of 1, approx 1/1500th of R134a used in other HPWH's
