The SMAA is the Provincial Sport Governing Body under Sask Sport. The SMAA includes many different styles of Martial Arts and strive to promote Martial Arts growth throughout the province. The Saskatchewan Martial Arts Association is a SaskSport Provincial Sport Governing Body. The SMAA includes a wide range of Martial Arts schools and governs open Martial Arts and Amateur Combat Sports competitions in Saskatchewan. The SMAA is one of few 'open' Martial Arts bodies in Saskatchewan, meaning it is not Style Specific. The SMAA welcomes all recognized styles of Martial Arts and strives to promote alliances and camaraderie throughout the many members and styles in the association.
