The St-Ambroise Montreal FRINGE Festival is a bilingual, international, multidisciplinary arts festival hosting over 500 artists annually. It is the Plateau Mont-Royal's largest arts festival, with over 63,000 patrons spanning across 21-days, attending shows created by companies from countries all over the world including Japan, Australia, South Africa and the United States . The Canadian Fringe Festivals® are built on four principles: 1) No Artistic Direction. Artists are selected by lottery. 2) No Censorship. Artists have complete freedom to present ANYTHING. 3) Accessibility to artists. Anyone can apply to the lottery. 4) Accessibility to audience.
