However, according to recent Stonewall research, only 1/3 of the LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender) community felt comfortable being "out" at work. This applies to other protected characteristics too. 48% of people with a mental illness don’t feel comfortable talking about it at work**. And more than half of women recently surveyed have experienced sexual harassment at work, but only 27% of those felt they could report their experience. Research shows that where people feel included at work, they are much more likely to be high performers, more loyal, likely to stay longer, and be more productive. The mission of A New Normal is to support organisations in the creation of genuinely inclusive working environments which enable individuals to bring their real selves to work every day. We bring together over 15 years experience across the end to end Talent Management cycle, with experience across the inclusion landscape. Working with organisations across numerous sectors, including FMCG, Technology, Consulting and Financial Services both in-house, and on a consultancy basis, designing and implementing inclusive talent management practices, places us ideally to work in any sector.
