Global Covenant Partners

www.globalcovenant.org

Global Covenant Partners (GCP) is a recently incorporated nonprofit with a mission of coordinating and facilitating integration of efforts to prevent religion--related violence, protect its targets, and rehabilitate its victims. Global Covenant participants respect the deep-seated differences within and between religions. Though religious traditions may disagree about the source and causes of violence, religions have profound commitments to protect their communities, beliefs, and heritage. They each have time-tested, deeply rooted traditions and rituals for mediating conflict and enabling peace. Global Covenant Partners is governed by an internationally renowned Board of Directors which is committed to moving this mission forward. GCP pursues four main interactive paths to the reduction of religion-‐related violence: 1. Research: Analyze causes and drivers of violence and test tools that effectively mitigate violent conflict. 2. Dialogue: Articulate commitment to the Global Covenant via interreligious dialogue and scriptural study. 3. Strategy: Mobilize partners, resources, and tools to reduce and prevent violent conflict in the Mediterranean Basin. 4. Media: Disseminate learning, best practice, and feedback via public engagement, social media, and online platform. We are currently focusing our efforts on inhibiting violence across the Middle East, North Africa, and Europe in efforts to prevent, reduce, and address the forcible displacement of millions of people across the Mediterranean Basin.
