Mike founded MHA in 2004 as a place to solidify his personal voice and unique aesthetic. Drawing from his multi-cultural heritage as a Korean American, and a scholarly foundation, Mike infuses his designs with emotion and intuition along with rigorous principles. His deep understanding of the shared human desire for community, cultural context and beauty, along with an ability to solve complex, programmatic requirements, have resulted in enormously successful projects that truly inspire people, like Bellagio in Las Vegas and The Gateway in Salt Lake City. Prior to MHA, Mike spent 20 years as a principal at one of the world?s leading firms, the Jerde Partnership. During his tenure as senior vice president and senior design principal, Mike participated first hand in the company's evolution as a predominantly retail-oriented firm to one that leads the field in integrated mixed-use projects worldwide. Mike built his reputation on some of the most pioneering and influential projects including Canal City, Fujikata Japan, and Dubai Festival City. MHA continues to refine and define their vision. Current projects include Encore at Wynn Las Vegas, Encore Wynn Macau, Bahamar and Shanghai.
