Woman In Media - Newark is a not for profit organization that advocates for, and educates the public about global issues facing women using film, video, new media and the arts as our platform. Our flagship event is our annual Women's History Month Film Festival, beginning in March of each year. During the film festival we host the screening of an international array of independent films by and about women, as well as a jazz concert and art exhibit. Our primary partners include Rutgers University, the Newark Museum and the East Orange Public Library.
