The Effie Yeaw Nature Center is dedicated to bringing awareness of the beauty and diversity of the natural world to children, families, and the community through education initiatives that foster appreciation, enjoyment, and stewardship of the unique natural and cultural resources of the Sacramento region. Situated along a 100 acre nature preserve and the American River, the Nature Center provides educational opportunities for students and the general public. We care for nearly 30 non-releasable, native wildlife including birds, reptiles and amphibians.
