The Center for Pediatric Clinical Effectiveness (CPCE) at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia provides a designated and centralized structure that focuses on the conduct of clinical effectiveness research. Our goal is to determine the best ways to prevent, diagnose, and treat pediatric illness. Driving this critical work is a multidisciplinary team of clinicians, biostatisticians, researchers, and public health experts whose research centers on improving the quality of care delivered to children. The existing research expertise and infrastructure at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia fuels CPCE's commitment to exchanging of ideas among clinical effectiveness researchers, facilitating the performance of clinical effectiveness research through a pilot grant program and assistance with projects using national and local databases, and educating the next generation of clinical effectiveness researchers in the methods of clinical epidemiology. In addition, the center partners with other Hospital organizations to improve patient care and disseminate research findings that define the most effective healthcare for children. CPCE has its origins in the Pediatric Generalist Research Group at CHOP, which was formed to perform health services research. In 2007, the Pediatric Generalist Research Group split into two centers, the Center for Pediatric Clinical Effectiveness and PolicyLab. Sign up to receive our newsletter here: https://bit.ly/32I58Q4
