Equal Pay Negotiations LLC
www.equalpaynegotiations.comEqual Pay Negotiations LLC consultancy (EPN) works to achieve pay equity for all groups that are systematically underpaid including women, BIPOC, members of the LGBTQ+ community, and individuals with disabilities. EPN works with its clients – employers, employees, job seekers, policymakers, and advocates – to achieve pay equity by uncovering and rectifying embedded biases in compensation. Objective processes are the core of the work of EPN enabling us to transform the pay landscape toward greater equality one client at a time. The common practices in hiring, promotions, and compensation are doing exactly what they were designed to do - hire the best person for not a penny more than needed for the person to accept the job. Unfortunately, this has an outsized impact on anyone who is not a White man. EPN helps you find the impact of these processes with pay audits and refine your processes to hire the best person equitably. This is especially important as more pay transparency laws are passed that require pay information in job postings. Founded by Katie Donovan, the pay expert and pioneer who introduced salary history bans and inclusion of pay in job ads to equitable pay efforts in 2012. Since then, more than 45 laws and executive orders based on the frameworks Donovan champions have been adopted by states and municipalities throughout the United States. Research shows that salary history bans increase pay for women and Black job changers by 8% and 13% respectively, making these policies the single best mechanism to close gaps in pay . Services are available for all stakeholders in pay equity: Employers - pay audits, process audits, recommendations and implementation of revised processes, and training. Employees & candidates - review of job offers and negotiations consultations Policy makers and advocates - consulting All - speaking and workshops
