The Rainbow Homes Program - ARUN(Association for Rural and Urban Needy) - aims to protect, care for, embrace, educate and empower our most disadvantaged children. This includes children who live on city streets; orphaned, abandoned, and violence-affected children; working children; children of farmer – suicide and starvation families; and children of sex workers. We strive to ensure that they be able to access their rights in loving, open and safe residential care homes in government schools and buildings; to grow into happy, responsible and caring global citizens. We are govt and UNICEF recognised, child rights, child protection and child care based NGO operating PAN India. Our National Office is based in Hyderabad and State Program Offices in Delhi, Hyderabad, Ananthpur, Patna, Chennai, Bangalore, Ranchi, Pune, and Kolkata. As an organisation, we aim to sensitise people on the existence of highly vulnerable, almost invisible to their entitlements and fundamental rights, the children living on and of the streets in Urban India. They migrate from place to place living in shelters openly on streets and under bridges and are forced to child labour, prostitution, stealing, pickpocketing, ragpicking and hazardous activities like manual scavenging. Our sponsors and supporters include Corporates, CSR Networks, and the highly proactive civil society. What we envision is an awareness in the society to ensure there is no child left on streets with no education, food, love and care or moral support. For this we require assistance in form of volunteering, spreading the Rainbow Homes Model, Financial support - donations, Govt support and civil society contributions. If you dream of making a visible impact to the lives of the vulnerable and making a remarkable effort in our journey to build secular, child rights-based comprehensive and open care places for these children, visit our website or apply to us at: http://rainbowhome.in/
