The Cleaners and Allied Independent Workers Union ("CAIWU") is an independent trade union whose members predominantly work in London's cleaning and facilities industry. CAIWU is a campaigning organisation and has waged a number of high profile campaigns at the Royal Opera House, University of London, Facebook, Nike Town, British Medical Association and the Ministry of Defence. We campaign on behalf of our members for increased pay and better working conditions. In addition to our campaigns, CAIWU provides legal representation for its members in the workplace. Our union representatives assist members with internal workplace grievances and disciplinary hearings as well as in the employment tribunal. We also provide support for members in personal injury claims and other legal matters.
