Founded in 1909, AusIMM Kalgoorlie Branch is managed by a team of passionate members who conduct a range of networking events and professional development activities in your local area each year. AusIMM Kalgoorlie Branch represents the Kalgoorlie-Boulder region. The Kalgoorlie Branch of the AusIMM is one of 5 branches in Western Australia. As of August 2013, the Kalgoorlie Branch has 290 members with just over 50% of members being new professionals and students (Graduate/Student). The Kalgoorlie Branch priorities are: 1. To provide professional development opportunities for Kalgoorlie Branch members; 2. To promote awareness of AusIMM benefits, activities, policies, and services; 3. To support WASM furthering the relationship between the Kalgoorlie Branch and the students/faculty; and 4. To reinforce the importance of mining in the community, promoting the minerals industry as a career path. 5. To increase branch-generated income.
