MIT-Center is a young non-governmental organization that was founded in order to facilitate solving the problems of Moldovan educational system at the level of public schools, colleges and universities by bringing the most efficient cutting edge educational technologies to Moldova. Our main direction is implementation of the High Quality Blended Learning approach that is a wise combination of face-to-face learning and usage of digital solutions which allows to take the best out of these two approaches. Its biggest benefit is that it teaches students to be responsible for their own learning process, which is the basis of Life-Long Learning, while the latter is the core competence of future specialists that must constantly improve in order to keep in pace with extremely fast developing technologies. We believe that improving the quality of education will also contribute to the development of local economy and increase the Republic's competitiveness on the global market. Dramatically improve the quality of the IT training available to young Moldovan students who are interested in an IT career – to be achieved through cooperation with top quality US/European institutions. 2. Dramatically increase the quantity of high quality IT graduates available to the market in Moldova. This is largely a function of Point #1 above – as increased quality of education in this area is required to get the trust from the students and their parents back and keep thus the students in Moldova, rather than going abroad. 3. To create/increase contacts and cooperation with high quality organizations that set standards and procedures – to help bring IT in Moldova up to international standards.
