The SRCDC will build a self-sustainable community and assist the Iŋyaŋ Woslál Háŋ communities towards becoming more self-sufficient through housing and economic development, mentorship and youth programming, and food sovereignty growth. These activities are assuring to reflect the Indigenous values by integrating the Dakota/Lakota language into the organization. SRCDC will stimulate and foster leadership skills to encourage active civic participation in the governance and development of the communities. SRCDC offers an understanding of how the Iŋyaŋ Woslál Háŋ can become self-sustaining and create revolutionary community opportunities utilizing our grass-root possessions. Youth Activities and Mentorship Programs: mentoring Iŋyaŋ Woslál Háŋ people via cultural education, including but not limited to various youth camps, interactions with culture bearers, and community classes. Economic & Housing Development: developing sustainable, healthy communities through affordable housing and economic development. Food Sovereignty: building local food systems that improve health, create local jobs, and boost the economy, including but not limited to community gardens, farms, farmer’s markets, and co-ops.
