Opportunity for Work and Learning
www.owlinc.netOpportunity for Work and Learning (OWL) impacts lives and strengthens communities through building a supported, inclusive, and sustainable workforce. We were created in 1961 as a workshop for individuals with severe disabilities. OWL’s mission is to partner with business, communities, and those we serve to foster personal growth and create professional opportunities by helping our participants discover their strengths and develop their skills. We connect our participants with the vital, ongoing, wrap-around support services needed to achieve personal growth and successful long-term employment, understanding that without focusing on the whole individual we cannot achieve success with our services. Over the years we broadened our focus to community-based employment services and expanded our programming to include individuals with all types of factors impacting their ability to obtain and maintain employment. These factors include physical disabilities, mental illness, intellectual disabilities, developmental disabilities, substance use disorders, socio-economic barriers, and those who are justice system involved.
