The Center for Economic Research and Graduate Education - Economics Institute / CERGE-EI is a joint educational and research institution established by Charles University in Prague and the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic. CERGE-EI offers U.S. style PhD in Economics and Master in Economic Research degrees taught entirely in English. The PhD in Economics is a rigorous program designed for outstanding students interested in pursuing an academic career or entering a high-level position in an international organization, central bank, government ministry or in the private sector. After 2 years of MA-level course work, students graduate with a U.S. MA in Economics degree and continue with two or more years of dissertation research.
