We’re a small, family-run business made up of crafters and carvers. Founded in 1986, we’ve grown from humble roots to become a trusted leader in the creation of handcrafted jade carvings. We’re deeply connected to the jade that we use and love spending time in the workshop, carving life into stone. At the heart of what we do is the process of discovery and that begins with seeking the finest quality stone - wherever it takes us. We've explored the world's sources of jade for over thirty years, searching out beautiful pieces in the wilds of Canada, America, Australia and China, as well as the lush wilderness of New Zealand's South Island. We make everything the hard way, crafting and finishing each carving by hand to create one-of-a-kind pieces which each have unique merits and features. Our artists truly appreciate the value of the material that they are working with and take extreme care to honour the stone and utilise each piece to the best of its ability. Our carvings are steeped in meaning and inspired by the art and culture of New Zealand. We pay homage to traditional Māori designs passed down through generations while pushing creative boundaries in contemporary art. Working with many carvers across New Zealand allows us to bring together the largest and most diverse collection of jade pendants, jewellery and art in the country.
