SLAB was founded on the basis of bringing you new flavors that are a break from your traditional Texas BBQ. We bridge the taste bud gap of the Dirty South from Memphis, to the Carolinas, Alabama, and Texas. Along with our delicious smoked meats, SLAB offers four different award-winning BBQ sauces. SLAB began as a food trailer in 2006, originally named Sugar Shack BBQ, and in August 2014 opened a brick and mortar location. Pitboss and Founder, Mark Avalos, has been featured on Travel Channel and Food Network for his famous BBQ sandwiches.
