Initiatives driven by fashion brands to close the textile loop are numerous. However, none tackles the used textiles challenge from the perspective of those actually facing a used textile mountain in their urban area: the municipalities. This initiative will enable municipalities to turn this challenge into an opportunity for job creation and circularity – starting with Rotterdam: a city with high unemployment rates, a major port and visibility as a leader in circularity as ISWA 2020 host.
