Estate Planning is the process of arranging for the distribution of one's possessions upon death, and also of arranging for management of property during one's life, if necessary, as well as planning for health care and end-of-life decisions. A critical part of estate planning is creating the documents that set out how an individual wants assets to be managed if he or she is unable to do so, how to make health care decisions if he or she is unable to do so, and how assets should be distributed after death. Every individual should have an estate plan.
