Imagine that you have access to almost real-time data of global and regional flows including trade, investments, capital technologies, people, arms, energy, and developmental assistance. Now imagine that data is constantly updated, integrated, correlated, compared and matched with the changing capabilities of governmental, global, regional and regulatory frameworks. Through this interface, you can access the very DNA of the global order and power interactions, project long term shifts, and assess short-term risks on a global, regional and national scale, all at an arms-length in one innovative research centre. ------ GARI connects ideas, people and institutions with the goal of establishing a revolutionary interdisciplinary research centre that will alter the way we understand global processes and interactions. The Global Arena Research Centre (GARC) aims to combine pioneering ways of analysing global-scale data on flows, interactions, and political and regulatory frameworks. More specifically, the scientific mission of the GARC is to fundamentally enhance, if not alter, our understanding of global and international processes and flows by utilizing an interdisciplinary approach to the study of the global arena (the new research school of socio-technical studies). The centre will serve as a hub that links innovative research institutions, governments, international organizations and corporate partners.
