www.malamamolokai.orgMalama Molokai Foundation is a Native Hawaiian Organization serving Native Hawaiians across the State of Hawaii. We are a not-for-profit charitable organization chartered by the State of Hawaii, controlled by Native Hawaiians, and whose activities will principally benefit Native Hawaiians. OUR VISION: Elevating the health, education, and welfare of the Native Hawaiian community in the State of Hawaii – Enabling every Native Hawaiian to reach their true life potential. OUR MISSION: To elevate the well-being of the Native Hawaiian community through a broad health, education and welfare agenda. OUR PROGRAMS: Malama Molokai Foundation will accomplish this agenda through the support of business and entrepreneurship opportunities, cultural and environmental preservation activities, educational, career and workforce development programs (Focus on STEM) leading to gainful employment. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, Native Hawaiian families in Hawaii are twice as likely to live below the poverty line than the rest of the State’s population. The Census study noted one in seven Native Hawaiian families are living below the poverty line and since the last decade, the number of Native Hawaiians in poverty has increased by 60%. Malama Molokai Foundation was created with the intent to address these social, economic, and educational challenges which impact the Native Hawaiian community across the State of Hawaii. To support our community service programs, we will seek out grant and business opportunities in the commercial and government marketplace, as well as partner with like-minded organizations. In 2020, Malama Molokai Foundation was accepted into the SBA Native 8a NHO program.
