Founded in Jan 2013, Bayside Sports is a sports management company which runs Sports Academies and Tournaments for children and parents of the top Mumbai schools. Our company has evolved from a Cricket Academy to an end-to-end Sports provider for families. Today we run 3 sports academies - Cricket, Football and Aastha (a sports academy for children with special needs). We have also conceptualised and organised some top sports events for school parents, bringing them back to their favourite games and thereby allowing them to fall back in love with sport. Our flagship IP is the “Bayside Sports School Dads Cricket Championship” also known as “The Dads of Cricket” - a T20 season ball tournament that is exclusively played under floodlights at the best standalone grounds. The tournament is extremely competitive with 40 top school dads teams vying to become the eventual champion. We aim to run this Championship in several other Indian cities and eventually have the city champions meet to become Champions of India. The concept is unique, where fathers represent their child’s school at Cricket. In Mumbai we have completed 6 years and more than 3,000 dads have played this format! We have a state-of-the-art scoring app (“Bayside Sports” on iOS & Android) allowing players to follow LIVE games, scope their opposition, follow the MVPs and post their own stats on social media. We are about to launch an ambitious national project where we’d like to see more amateur cricketers playing the school dads format. Eventually we aim to take this globally and have a million amateur cricketers playing this format and on our app. In 2017, the amazing work we were doing in building a community through sport caught the attention of Mr. Anand Mahindra, the Chairman and MD of the Mahindra Group and he invested into Bayside Sports. In 2018 and 2019 we partnered with the Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar and we organised and ran camps in Mumbai and Pune for his Tendulkar Middlesex Global Academy.
