Mayo Law Offices was founded in 1980 by its principal, William Richard Mayo, a graduate of the University of Arkansas School of Law with an undergraduate degree in Business. He is licensed in Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Texas in State and Federal Courts of these jurisdictions as well as the US Federal Court of Claims in Washington DC, and is US federal Immigration Court He has served as a District Court Judge in Arkansas before serving as corporate council in the banking industry as well as serving as corporate counsel for a telecommunications firm in Dallas, TX. Multilingual Mayo is a graduate of the Interlinque School of Languages of Rome, Italy, and authored the text book, "International English for the Legal and Business Professionals" by Delta House Publishing, 2007 used as a preparatory course for Cambridge University's International Legal English Certification. Mayo also serves as a contributing editor to the "Encyclopedia of Arkansas History and Culture" of the Arkansas Central Library System where he has authored entries pertaining to literature and history.
