Aurora is a self-sustaining social enterprise with three major functions: home, work and entertainment. its the home of socially active young adults who are interested in community building, social justice, political activism, judaism - and more. The rooms of the first floor are used as offices for different NGO’s that represent or work with marginalized groups, such as LGBTQ (Budapest Pride), Roma (Roma Press Center), homeless or underpriviliged people (School of Public Life), harm reduction (Alternativa Foundation. Green Spider Foundation is an organisation dedicated to multimedia representation & documentation of the the NGO scene. There is also a fully-equipped coworking office and a functioning REAL (sic!) bakery to provide our delicious bagels. The groundfloor hosts a café / bar, further rooms for exhibitions, movie screenings. talks, and a room that functions as the Dor Chadash shul. The shul is maintained by the egalitarian minyen affiliated with the Masorti movement. The building has a huge (160 sqm) basement for workshops, concerts, theatrical performances, exhibitions for artists from all around the world.
